Tips and Advice

The following is important before attending the interview:

  • Find out everything you can about the company (read their annual report, visit their website, know their product and services, etc).

  • Find out the Company's organisational structure and the team in which you will work.

  • Re-read your application.

  • Go through your resume.

  • Although questions vary from industry to industry, there are some questions that are common across the board.

  • Anticipate, prepare and write some questions and answers the interviewer might ask you. Reading through those questions and developing your own answers is a good place to start in your preparation.

  • Prepare some questions you might ask them.

  • Get dress smartly for the interview. Skip multicolour cloth.

  • Skip your perfume, cologne or aftershave.

  • Women: skip heavy make-up.

  • Men: shave yourself before the interview.

  • Arrive ten to fifteen minutes earlier so as to relax and have control over yourself.

  • Courteous to all employees of the company.

  • Take the proper amount of time to prepare for your interview. Being well-prepared will boost your confidence and lower your anxiety. Spend at least two to three hours preparing for each interview.

  • Draft answers to the most common interview questions and practice speaking them out loud.
