The following is important before attending the interview:
- Find out everything you can about the company (read their annual report, visit their website, know their product and services, etc).
- Find out the Company's organisational structure and the team in which you will work.
- Re-read your application.
- Go through your resume.
- Although questions vary from industry to industry, there are some questions that are common across the board.
- Anticipate, prepare and write some questions and answers the interviewer might ask you. Reading through those questions and developing your own answers is a good place to start in your preparation.
- Prepare some questions you might ask them.
- Get dress smartly for the interview. Skip multicolour cloth.
- Skip your perfume, cologne or aftershave.
- Women: skip heavy make-up.
- Men: shave yourself before the interview.
- Arrive ten to fifteen minutes earlier so as to relax and have control over yourself.
- Courteous to all employees of the company.
- Take the proper amount of time to prepare for your interview. Being well-prepared will boost your confidence and lower your anxiety. Spend at least two to three hours preparing for each interview.
- Draft answers to the most common interview questions and practice speaking them out loud.
